Becker Vineyard is a continuing story of passion. The journey started with Richard and Bunny Becker looking for a Hill Country get-away from their home in San Antonio . In 1990, they found the 308 acre property with the 1890s cabin which still stands on the property.
They discovered native Mustang grapes growing all over the property. Mustang grapes were both honored and essential with the early German settlers in this area. SInce they grew sop well, Richard and Bunny decided that other grapes would do well in the soil here. After planting in 1992, they had the first harvest in 1995 and the production has grown from 1500 cases to an average of 100,000 cases a year!
Becker Vineyards Wines have been served on Presidents table at the White House, The Texas Governor's Mansion as well as the James Beard Foundation in New York. Wines to be enjoyed for sure, fit for any guest no matter their roots or where they are today!
