Restaurant Week Fredericksburg May 2026

A Week of Flavor in Fredericksburg You Don’t Want to Miss

Planning a spring trip to Fredericksburg? Make it count by staying at Walnut Canyon Cabins and timing your visit with the first-ever Fredericksburg Restaurant Week, happening May 5–10, 2026. This new event brings together the best of the Texas Hill Country’s food and wine scene—giving you every reason to turn your trip into something memorable.

A new piece of the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Restaurant Series, Restaurant Week is a celebration of local chefs, restaurants, and hospitality. Expect curated menus, creative collaborations, and experiences you simply won’t find any other time of year.

The week is anchored by a lineup of signature events. On May 5, Tacos y Margs at Hill & Vine kicks things off with bold flavors, fresh margaritas, and live music for Cinco de Mayo.

The Austin Street Block Party follows on May 6 with a relaxed, come-as-you-are evening filled with food, music, and community.

On May 7, East Side Flights & Bites at Elk & Main offers a more elevated experience, with chef-driven dishes paired with wine, beer, and cocktails in a beautiful courtyard setting.

By May 8, Smoke & Fire at El Quincho brings the heat with a live-fire collaboration featuring Eaker Barbecue, recognized on Texas Monthly’s Top 50 BBQ list.

The week wraps up on May 9 with TexMex BBQ Fest: First Bite at Leroy’s Tex Mex, blending Tex-Mex favorites, slow-smoked barbecue, and traditionally distilled desert spirits with live music.

Beyond these events, the entire town gets involved. Restaurants across Fredericksburg will offer prix-fixe menus, limited-time specials, and pop-ups throughout the week. It’s also a rare chance to visit places like Stout’s Signature at Grape Creek Vineyards and K Bistro at K Estate, typically reserved for wine club members. Local favorites like Mesquite at the Warehouse are joining in as well, with special menus featuring dishes like Texas Wagyu, crab cakes, and brown butter cookie ice cream sandwiches.

Staying just outside of town makes the experience even better. At Walnut Canyon Cabins, you can enjoy everything Fredericksburg has to offer during the day, then come back to quiet evenings, open skies, and a slower pace. It’s a different kind of Hill Country experience—one that feels relaxed instead of rushed.
This is the inaugural year of Fredericksburg Restaurant Week, and tickets are selling fast, so you’ll want to move on this if you’re planning to attend.
